South Windsor Business Woman Honored as Small Business of the Year

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT, APRIL 20, 2006—At its annual business awards dinner, the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce recognized Nancy Simonds Communication, LLC, as the Small Business of the Year. Owner Nancy Simonds started her business in 2000 to help other businesses express themselves effectively through clearly written marketing materials. Over the last 7 years, she has worked with hundreds of small and medium size businesses, schools, colleges, municipalities, law firms, and state agencies, helping them craft brochures, marketing letters, Web content, technical reports and training materials.

Simonds is also very involved with local Chambers of Commerce and networking groups, saying, “Networking is the primary way I’ve built my business. For me, it’s all about creating supportive relationships, both with other business owners and with my clients.” Simonds also has formed strategic alliances with graphic designers, Web developers, printers, photographers, and even other writers. “When a client needs a team of specialists to create a Web site, brochure, newsletter or other marketing piece, I can assemble a terrific team within a few minutes.”
